Water-time of day matter?

I tend to drink (front load) a lot of my water in the morning during and after exercise and then drink it sparingly throughout the rest of the day. Lunch and afternoon time are usually diet coke for me. While I am getting all of my water in, I am wondering if I am still getting any benefit by not drinking it over the entire day. Thoughts?

    I do something similar, but if I don't I am up running to the bathroom all night.

    That is what I normally do. I don't think it matters from what I have found.
