Hey Ladies,

I have a strange question about TOM? I seem to lose really steadily before TOM and even during TOM, but then after it's over and stop losing and sometimes start to gain slowly. It seems totally backwards for me, but I can't understand why that would happen? Any ideas??

That is kinda strange. The opposite happens to me. The couple of days leading up to TOM I don't lose anything and maybe even gain a lb or two. Then once TOM starts, I start losing again. Sorry I don't know! Maybe someone else would have a clue, LOL!

I once read you can gain weight not only during your TOM but also up to a week before and after. So, our bodies are normal only half the time!! Sounds about right :)

Well, I understand what you mean. I have a similar issue. I thing for some reason, maybe our metabolism peaks a bit more before and during, but not totally sure. Mine varies. Some months I do well and lose just before, but other months I do retain water and right after I tend to drop. IDK.. We are extremely complex creatures.

The week before my TOM, my appetite soars to the point I could eat a medium sized child. So that is why I gain weight then. When it actually hits I'm too sick to eat. So I suppose it balances out

Lol....I know exactly what you mean, except I don't get sick anymore (endometriosis surgery did wonders).
