This may be a crazy question but I have to ask..I have been working out for 4 weeks and watching calorie intake not to exceed 1500 but no less than 1300 each day. I have lost 7 lbs but don't seem to be losing inches ANYWHERE!! My crazy question is this..has anyone else noticed their upper legs getting more fit BEFORE losing inches. It seems as though this is the only part of my body changing, I am actually seeing rips from the muscle build up in my upper legs. Just wondering if I am doing the workouts wrong or something :)

That must be where you are losing the fat. You said not losing anywhere, is this just observations or actual measurements? Strengthening / using your legs is one of the best ways to lose weight as they are the biggest fat burners in your body.

These are actual measurements. I measure my leg at the top, you know where the trouble inner thigh fat is located LOL. Funny thing is, I am gaining muscles on the outer and front of my upper leg but not the inner thigh where I need it most!! I guess I am goign to move the measure tape DOWN to the lower area for a few weeks and see if I am losing inches there now that the muscle is building. Even though I am 176 lbs my legs have always stayed pretty firm and fit (except inside thigh). Maybe building these muscles will start to lose fat in other places with these new muscles burning more calories :))

The muscle on the inner thigh is very thin and strap like so any definition has to come from fat loss I'm afraid :frown:

Its hard, sometimes we loose at one moment at the craziest places. I think you will definitely see results if you persist!

I am definately going to continue! I was basically wondering if I was doing the exercises wrong since my upper leg is the only place I am changing LOL. Even if I don't lose weight and get into shape (which I know will happen) I have more energy so that is a benefit to keep going in itself!
