luau brthday party

my daughter is having a luau birthday party and she wants a grass skirt. does anyone know where we can find one? the party stores around here have them but they sell in bult. and we only need 1.

maybe suggestions on making out own?

    i'd go to a thrift store and buy all the green fabric scraps or old green tshirts you can and cut them into strip to sew onto a waist band of some sort.

    or buy long strips of dried grass/straw from the craft section at walmart or something.

    or green streamers in different shades.

    or long green fringe for drapes or lamps, depending on how old she is.

    even a garbage bag would make a thrifty hula skirt.

    I think twine and raffia should work well. And I think you could get both at Walmart. Good Luck!!!
