have any of you tried it?
i thought it was gonna be the best thing in the world after looking at peoples youtube videos about it but no. the instructor is funny. but i had to do another workout afterwards because only like 20 minutes of it was real intensity the rest was a cool down and just relaxing poses which were boring. i get a much better workout from my tae bo dvds. i probably won't do this dvd again unless i am pressed for time or something. i'd rather do tae bo for an hour. another thing was the fact that she goes so fast you can't really follow it. i was behind the whole time. yeah there is a pause button. but really..who wants to pause every 5 seconds? not me.
for those of you who have done this dvd tell me your experience. should i just continue with the dvd. it'll be better? regardless of me learning all the moves so i can do them along with her it's still such a short workout. 20 minutes is nothing.
edit: AND when i enter turbo jam as my exercise on mfp for 30 minutes it says 407 calories. HA. that's a joke. definitely not. maybe not even 100 calories would be what i'm thinking. *note: no i don't have an hrm*

I really like that one because it's a good time saver if you can't fit anything else in and you can make it as intense as you want. If you need something harder, do the "practice" portions at high/full intensity. This isn't meant to be a hard core workout, it's for those days when you are low on time. I'd definitely check out her other Turbo Jam workouts. Most of them are 40-60 minutes and really fun! Don't Give up on Chalean yet! :laugh:0

Funny thing is how fake all the reviews for it are...click on a few of them and you'll see what i mean.0

I enjoy the Cardio Party DVDs. You might want to try ChaLEAN or Turbo Fire. ChaLEAN is circuit training using weights AND cardio. Turbo Fire is like Turbo Jam on steroids :-D

I just started the TurboFire workout last week! In just over one week I have lost over 7lbs.! I have been working out since Oct 2010 and had lost 35lbs and hit a plateau even though I have changed my eating habits! No refined suger, whole wheat carbs, pretty much trying to eat clean. This workout is awesome and I love it because I'm seeing some results pretty fast now. Don't give up on Chalene she's awesome!0

I do the 20 min one when I'm short on time and do the higher intensity level and get a great workout. The others are really great too and feel like I'm dying about mid way thru. You can add hand weights which intensify's as well. She is hard to follow at first but she does the same movements on each side so the choreograph can be followed if you do it a few times you will see it gets easier to follow. In fact my obliques kill me the next day after Turbo. I also do Jillian Michaels and feel the workouts are comparible. I just purchased a hrm and am waiting for it to arrive. I will then be able to have a more accurate idea of cal's burned for all my exercises (including walking)0
