Oatmeal freaks me out.

I used to love homemade oatmeal, but I have spent my life eating it enriched with cream, butter, and sugar and I have not found a way to keep the richness and sweetness in a lower calorie lower fat version. So, for now, I’ve given up eating it as a hot cereal. Instead, I make oatmeal scones with craisins and pecans. I keep them in the freezer and reheat them in the toaster oven.0
