Is it possible to have a low sodium, high protein, low carb, low glycemic diet?

Doctor wants me on a less than 1500mg sodium / 1800 Calorie diet and also wants it to be a low glycemic diet as well.

Can someone please help me out with what type of meals I could have to accomplish this goal.

Thanks in advance

There are GI books out there to help you choose the foods. I'm sure some have lower sodium than others you'll just have to do some work to figure it out. You can even look GI foods online.

Google "Primal Blueprint" or "Mark's Daily Apple".
  • Sodium is my biggest challenge, day in and day out. Of course, if you stay away from pre-packaged foods, that will help a LOT.

You should also ask your doctor about eating back your exercise calories. If you burn 400 calories walking, does the doctor want those to be added back to what you can eat, or just lose them?

Here is a low GI list. http://www.lowglycemicdiet.com/gifoodlist.html I'm sure that you can find a lot more.

    See you Saturday.
