Average Calories per meal?

If you are eating 1200 calories a day should each meal be around 400 calories? Or should one meal be higher then the rest or does it matter at all?

i would try and spread them evenly through out the day0

You should be eating 5-6 small meals and every 2-3 hrs. This keeps food in your stomach and your metabolism working all day.
At 1200 calories I would suggest Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner around 300 calories each and the remaining calories 2 snacks at 150 calories or 3 snacks at 100.0 -
I try to split it up so I get some snacks. But that is just what has worked for me. I do about 200 for breakfast 100 for morning snack 300 for lunch 100 for afternoon snack 400 for supper and 100 for an evening snack. I think everyone is different. A lot of people have told me to eat most of my calories earlier in the day, but like I said this is what works for me.0

Everyone seems to have different strategies. Do what works for you as long as you eat throughout the day. I like a bigger dinner so I make sure I have enough calories. To use today as an example, my breakfast was 200 calories, lunch will be 300, and dinner will be 700. I am not much of a snacker, so three meals a day works for me.0

i do 200ish for breakfast, 400ish for lunch and 600ish for supper, any extra exercise calories are for snacks. not a big breakfast fan and i like feeling full.
there is no way i would eat 6 meals at only 200 calories each. ugh! i would hate, hate, hate that!
