Daily Sugar Intake

I'm having a MASSIVE problem sticking to my recommended sugar intake daily, is 24g of sugar daily even possible?

My daily sugar intake today was 78g :( 40g of that is to blame on a Starbucks that I treated myself to after a long night of work last night but even without that Starbucks my daily intake stands at 38g and still over my recommended.

I'm seriously not complaining as much as I am feeling a tad defeated by trying to tackle this part of my diet. Any help or recommendations for foods/snacks would be greatly appreciated! I've been trying to do fruits like blueberries for snacks but they're really high in sugar and carbs *sigh*

okay, so i don't know if this is what you're "supposed" to do... but i tend to eat a lot of fresh fruit. i never ever count my produce sugars (because i mean, who d you know has ever gotten fat from eating fruits and veggies, honestly! lol) . this week i have gone through an entire fresh pineapple... umm sup sugar!! lol i basically just count "refined sugars" - any snacks or breads.. stuff like that.

    does anyone else do this?
