My Shape Fitness Evolved keeps track of calories but isn't much fun. Kinect Sports burn a LOT of calories, more intense and fun for me.0

I used to have a 360 until it red ringed on me
I had the Your Shape which is GREAT! It customized workouts based on what you wanted to do...ex. build cardio, lean out, etc. Once it did that you had a lot of variety to work from.
I also used the Dance Central for something more fun. It has a workout mode and tells you how many calories you've burned.
My suggestion though to really keep track of calories burned is to get a heart rate monitor. I went without one for a while and then when I started working out there was a big difference with what the Kinect was telling me. I've done my research and found Polar as the better brand out there. Check eBay for them.
Good luck with it and have fun!0 -
Just know that those games are no where near accurate when it comes to the calories burned. You could've burned a 125 calories and it will say 35.0

i have EA active its good but my kinect kept loosing me, and i downloaded the demo for the biggest looser on live and that was good, thinking of buying that one, they both keep track of your calories
hope this helps

I don't want to buy Kinect, but that Michael Jackson dance game looks like it could be fun and a good workout too! However, it doesn't come out until April.0

I get a pretty good workout just playing the fun games. I like Dance Central and the Adventures Game -Reflex Ridge. All the jumping and squatting works my heart up. The key is you will get out of it what you put into it. If you stand there and barely move well obvioulsy you won't be burning much, but if you work up a good sweat then you get a good burn. I'd wear a Heart Rate Monitor to judge how many calories you burn. I wouldn't leave it up to a video game you don't even touch to figure that out.0

ok, Thanks everyone... I have a watch I got at walmart that tells me my heart rate but it's not that great on calories... I think I will have to get a polar. that's one that my trainer suggested too.0
