I bought a Timex 1440 heart rate monitor today. I got it on sale for $20 (reg. $49) so I didn't really research it or anything, I just grabbed it. Thing is the watch doesn't turn on. It has a battery in it but I'm guessing it's dead? Can I change this battery myself or do I have to take it to a 'professional'?

Topics are created so fast here that some can go unnoticed. I hope it's ok to bump my own post because I'm getting really frustrated with this thing and thinking of returning it! You wouldn't think a brand new HRM would have a dead battery but I don't know what else could be the problem.0

Going to return this one and get a Timex T5G971 instead. Hopefully it will work better for me!0
