Starting my Journey!

Hi,
I'm really excited to have found this site! I made a plan and am sticking to it this time, so this is great to have a support (FREE) system to keep me focused.
I am 38 years old have an adult daughter and a 3 year old daughter! I have been on the heavy side all my life and just recently put on 30 lbs in one year! Turns out I had Thyroid problems. In November 2010 it was completely removed. It has been a battle finding the correct synthroid dosage, but I finally did! Now I need to take off all this extra weight in a way that I can feel good and maintain the results. I am also planning my Dream Wedding (vow renewal) for 2012 and have been soooooo disappointed in the lack of plus size wedding dresses. I found the dress that I LOVE, but everyone says "it's a beautiful dress, but not for you" So this dress is my EXTRA motivation when I am feeling weak.:happy:
I am planning on taking off 50 to 60 lbs to get to a comfortable and healthy weight.

Wow! Good for you... you deserve the dress YOU love! And, in the end it doesnt matter what anyone else says (The more I think about it the more thankful I become that I bought my wedding dress by myself... woops!) I'm glad you're feeling good, and have the thyroid problem under control! This site is great, I've been on here on and off but never involved in the forums etc until recently... about 4 weeks ago I realized my August wedding is coming up faster than I thought! So, it was the extra motivation I needed! I hope you find this site helps you, good luck on your journey... and congrats on your vow renewal that's upcoming!

That's is awesome motivation! Always keep it in the back of your mind because you may find yourself ready to give up, but don't forget that dress!...and your dream wedding! That is too cool! Welcome and prepare yourself to kick some butt! :]
