Losing weight with diet alone?

I am feeling so helpless. I was doing pretty well with my diet and was really getting back into a good exercise regimen and now I've got a back injury and can't work out (let alone do a lot of my normal daily life activities.) I am starting to feel depressed and am eating more than I know I should be when I should be focusing even more on my diet since I can't work out. Has anyone here lost weight without exercising and just focusing on their diet? I need to lose 25 - 35 lbs to get back to my prepregnancy weight and I know the extra weight isn't helping my back any either. I've lost weight before but I've always focused more on working out than my eating habits and that worked really well for me. Anyone have any inspiring stories to keep me motivated? Thanks!

Hi. I'm no expert, but I've lost a fair bit in the past (about 40lbs), and I did it entirely through diet. Exercise didn't even feature at the time! I'm not saying this is the ideal way to do it, but I've only ever had success in losing weight by addressing my diet. I'm a usually UK size 8/ US size 2-4 (I think?) if that helps.

    You'll be fine; good luck!
