I am new to MFP. Have been working out at an all woman's gym with a trainer for almost four months and have gained 12lbs instead of losing. Have lost some inches but very frustrated. It was suggested that I track food as my workouts are consistent and i am training for a 5k for the first time. Just frustrating to not be losing but gaining.

    Welcome to MFP! Keep coming each day even if you're not logging everything. Overtime you'll catch yourself getting better and better. The support is great and everyone is here for the same reason! Good luck with training for the 5K. I ran my first one a year ago and then in January ran WDW Marathon Weekend 42.4 miles. Are you following any training programs? I didn't but I have a niece who wants to run a 5K with me this summer and she wants to use a training program. Losing inches is always great but sucks when the scale doesn't reward the hard work. I'm in the same situation! Trying to use MFP this month to help me break that cycle!
