Body fat percentage...

When I started this journey, my wellness screening says I had a body fat percentage of 37%, now I am at 25%, but I can't seem to get any lower than that...I've kinda been stuck there for a couple of months. I get different numbers from different websites...so what is my body fat percentage SUPPOSED to be? I am a 37 year old woman.

21-33% is the healthy range for your age/gender.
To decrease your body fat %, increase your muscle mass.0 -
Not sure what body fat should be you can google a chart Im sure. It probably depends on how tall you are. Sounds like you are at a plateau. What are you doing for workouts? How much and what kind of food are you eating? You need to change up possibly both of those things to break through that pateau. Try some different workouts, if you are using weights increase your weight per set. Try cycling your calories up a few hundred per day for a few weeks. Or maybe a cleanse. Your body is stuck in a rut, and you need to shake it upa get it revved up again.0

If you're going by what your scale is telling you then it's probably not accuate. It can't tell the difference between fat and muscle. Mine has been telling me the same thing for months yet my body tells me otherwise.0

Just so you know, body fat has nothing to do with height. Total weight does, but if a person has, say, 50% body fat (obesity), it doesn't matter how tall or short they are--the result is the same: 50% body fat.0

I do the weight room and run 3 days a week, I do whatever sounds fun on Tuesdays and Thursdays - sometimes aerobics, sometimes swimming laps, sometimes I'll go for an extra run if the weather is beautiful. I increase my weight on the machines whenever it starts getting "easy", so I think I am keeping myself challenged there. As far as eating, I've made a few changes recently with the help of a dietician. I am eating about 150 or so more calories on average and have been increasing protein by adding Greek Yogurt, almonds, extra cheese, etc., as I have struggled to keep my protein up and my hair is not happy. Most days I do OK with this...some days, especially the ones that I am at home all day, I struggle to stay under calories and tend to eat more junk and don't get my nutrients in, but when I'm working and out of the house, I do OK with all nutrients except calcium, and I take a supplement for that.
I haven't lost a lot of weight recently, but it is coming off...just VERY slowly now...but I understand that is normal when you don't have a lot left to lose.0 -
Sounds like you are on the right track just keep it up and work hard during your workouts. Plus get your rest. Congrats on the weight loss you should be proud!0
