I have mine here, but is it the brownie muffins with pumpkin or something else? I'll type it out here and you can tell me if it's the wrong one.
Yum Yum Brownie Muffins*
Ingredients:
1 box devil's food cake mix (about 18 oz.)
One 15-oz. can pure pumpkin
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Mix the two ingredients together. Don't add anything else that may e mentioned on the box like eggs, oil, or water. The mixture will be very thick, so you might be tempted to add in other things to make the batter smoother. Do NOT do this!
Place batter into a 12-cup muffin pan lined with baking cups or sprayed with nonstick spray. Place pan in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.

I love this recipe. I use reduced sugar cake mix. I also tried it with reduced sugar yellow cake. It was delish. I like it even better than the brownies.0

No problem, have a happy 4th! :bigsmile:0

I added 1/2 cup of Dannon Fat free plain yogurt this time because I really wanted to add water next time but followed the recipe and felt like it needed something else...we shall see what happens!0

They taste better if you let them sit for a day. They're a lot more moist. Just a little tip we've learned from making these a gazillion times!0

I am planning on making this into a cake version tomorrow for a family get together. Does it rise much? Would an 8x8 pan work well or could I even put it in a fancy bundt pan?0
-
Okay, I have perfected this now! I box chocolate cake mix, 15 oz can pumpkin, 1/2 cup day free plain yogurt. 9x13 works best,a smaller size makes them too think and they don't cook as well in the center. 350 for 30 minutes, then I cut up in small pieces like brownies. Last time I sprinkled powdered sugar on too to dress it up. Everyone loves this cake, even my child who eats nothing!
Good luck&enjoy!0 -
Thanks, mine was sooooo incredibly thick and kinda nasty lookin on top. I'll have to try the yogurt next time,0
-
Oh I should have mentioned that about the top - because it is so thick you need to smooth out the top before cooking. You HAVE to add the yogurt....
I tried it three times before I got it perfect. Try again!0 -
HaHa! Thanks....now ya tell me.....it smells really good. Does it have to be devils food cake? I am not sure why but for some reason it has a bit of a weird taste to it0
