so...I am feeling a little bit like I may be going to fall off track, after yesterday. I went over my calorie goal, even though by not much, it was still over. I have not exercised this past week as I should have, due to a pulled muscle in my calf. That has gotten me to kind of thinking I may be going off track...so here is a little reminder to myself WHY I want and need to keep on moving ahead with this....,
and a few reminders to myself of how I looked and felt about myself before I started this journey
1. To look and feel good at 42
2. To be in the best shape of my life
3. To have an awesome body with muscle tone...and not flab
4. To get rid of the cellulite
5. To be able to wear a bathing suit
6. To be able to go shopping and not struggle to find things that fit.
7. To look good in the clothes that I do find.
8. To NOT have that muffin top or the stomach that has started jiggling over my pants.
9. To get that awesome tattoo that I want, will be my first.
10. To continue to sleep better, concentrate more, have more energy and just feel good in general.
11. To not be deduced to wearing only 4 different pairs of jeans - because thats all i have that fit anymore..and I will NOT
buy a bigger size.
12. To be able to shop in victoria's secret and wear sexy undergarments.
How I felt before
1. Embarrased at the muffin top I was sporting around
2. Limited to the clothes that I could wear that hang in my closet.
3. Disgusted at the way I looked with or without clothes.
4. Angry when my stomach jiggled, because it hung over my pants that were too tight.
5. Afraid to go shopping, because I didnt want to move into a larger size.
6. Limited to what I could do as far as physical activity
7. Lonely without someone special in my life, because I was too ashamed of the way I looked and felt.
8. Tired all the time!
9. Hungry all the time!
10. There was a time that I had just convinced myself that I didnt care how I looked, that I was perfectly
happy with me the way things were..that I didnt have anyone to impress, therefore I could eat and just be
ok with me that way. I was so very much in denial.
11. DEPRESSED because of all of the above.....and very much withdrawn from my family and friends.
I just want to remind myself of all of these things!!! I have only lost 7 lbs...but am feeling so much better about myself, my life, my level of physical activity that I now do...every day....and I have made so many wonderful new friends that I know are here to support me on my good days and bad.
Whew...with all that being said...I think I will get back on track!

I'm same age, here for all of those reasons. And I do understand about pulled muscle. I broke my leg 2 years ago and have pins, plates, rods in it and this past week it has really hurt (why 2 years later, not sure). It's slowed my exercise down a bit this week. This is what I do to remind myself of my goal. I put a picture of me that I like, when I was at a healthy weight, just got off of a cruise so I'm tanned, in a sleeveless dress-have it on my fridge so I can see it every time I open the fridge. I also have that black dress in my profile picture hanging on my wall so i can look at it every day to remind me that I AM going to get into that dress. in 2010 there are 2 (two) pictures of me that I will let anyone see. None of the Disney pics that have me in them will anyone see (sad since it was family vacation). I was disgusted. No more. You can do this. You can. Add me, this is my FB =]0

I've only lost 6 lbs but my hubby told me today that I have to stop wearing these saggy a** jeans I have on. I just bought them recently, so that was all the encouragement I needed! See, 6 lbs can make a difference!
BTW, I'll be 41 in a couple weeks and age is not a roadblock to health and happiness!0 -
well, this morning, I was motivated enough to at least get my normal 2 miles in on the treadmill, and actually was able to run some. That was an improvement from this week, and my leg didnt hurt at all..so maybe I can get back to my regular workout. I fell so much better when I do.
Thanks for your kind words of encouragement..I have NO doubt that I will do this...just need a little reminder sometimes.0
