My goals are to continue to come in under my calories, and to exercise, hopefully including swimming twice. I will set a goal for a number of minutes of exercise, but too busy to think right now. Later! And thanks for the chart!

It's been a long and busy weekend, and I'm tired. I accomplished everything that I had planned except for a walk today, so not too bad. The exciting news is that last night I bought an iPad. My friend gave me a router, my son in law installed it today, and I am posting from it now! I had been saving for one, and since they are releasing the new model this week, the current model dropped $100 in price. I'm pretty excited! More tomorrow; I need to head to bed now. Goodnight!

Hi all...I've been MIA for a while. My whole family has had the flu. I just got over strep a few weeks ago and now we have this. We are all back at work and school and hopefully doing better. My goal is to get out of this house and get some exercise in. Talk to y'all later.

Great job all, and nice chart, Ultmatelover.

Hope you're all doing great. I had to make up today for lots of bad eating at my business trip, so I just did 2 hours at the gym burning 1003 calories. I'm going to watch some tv and get ready for bed. Tomorrow I'm back home and I'm so excited! Night all!

    Good to see you, Tammy!

Just wanted to let you all know what is happening in my world. My mother has been in the hospital since Thursday. Monday she was told that if she did not have surgery she would not be able to walk again, or to go home to her house. We thought that on Tuesday we would be talking about surgery schedules, but she came down with aspiration pneumonia and sepsis. She is in the CICU now, and we weren't sure she would make it through the night, but she did. I am hopeful that the meds they are giving her will work miracles and she will improve. Only time will tell. Anyway, I am still working, and plan to go see her on Saturday at this point, as my sister is with her and there is little that I could do. If you are a praying person, remember us please.

That being said, I will try to go back to being my usual self. I hope all of you are having a great Wednesday!

Mom is still very sick, but marginally better, and everyone thinks she is on the upswing. My daughter said that Mom had her sense of humor back and was making sense most of the day, so I am thinking that she will recover. Thanks for the prayers and keep them up!

Am I enjoying my new Ipad? Not so much, I am on the phone with so many relatives about Mom so much, I haven't had time to turn it on in 3 days. Something has got to change around here! I need time to play!

Got to get some things done before bed, but wanted to update you. Have a good Thursday tomorrow!

Me too, life is crazy but I feel like I am doing ok. Been running again. will register for the Disney Full Marathon teusda 3/15 - the day registration opens for it. Slow and steady progression. Still only running 5k but want to build slowly cause I know those long 20 mile + runs are gonna be KILLER!

Son's been in physical therapy for elbow, that's added to my to dos...he's doing well...going to specialist at Wake Forest 3/21 (about 3 hours away) to determine if they will do surgery and what they will do....he broke a chunk out of the bone (in October)- couldn't just break it like a normal kid, so we'll see

    Mary-hope mom continues to improve.
Ultimate-thank you for the reminders about weigh in.
    Mayra-great burn!

Hey all...I'm going to physical therapy today so wish me luck. Maybe they can work a miracle with my back/leg. I'd love to be able to feel my toes again without the tingling. Have a great day.

Debnu...Praying everything goes well for you.

    Howdy all.
Ouch, I was MIA big time. I felt like I got off the biggest loser show and went right back to being bad.

I was last on probably in Oct. 2010, and just couple times before that. I had already gained some weight back and since then gained even more weight back

I've thought about the blue team, many times. Thanks to the ladies who sent me a message wondering where I am. You know who you are.

Good news was that I finally finished the 3 month long renovation to first floor with all that laminate floor we had.
Bad news was that my wife broke her ankle, 1 day before our dinner celebration to show off the new work. She had surgery and has been couch bound for 6 weeks so far.

During this time, I was getting frustrated as I had gained back a bunch of weight, and changed priorities from working out, to doing work around the house.

Good news - I have been 1 month smoke free. During the last couple years on here I was still a smoker.

Now I"m trying to get back on track... Today measured my food, next will be getting the daily exercise back in.

    Hope everyone is doing well.
    Cheers,
    Peter

My mother is slowly improving. She did have another fall, because an idiotic nurse told the staff that it was okay if she got up to go to the bathroom, even though she has a dr's order not to walk. She has fallen twice since being in the hospital, and it is obviously their fault for having her get out of bed when she is not able. Anyway, luckily, her injuries are few.
The surgeon is supposed to come today and assess whether or not she is able to have her surgery. I hope so, as it is the only hope for walking.
I have spring break next week, and am I ever looking forward to it! I plan to go on a family campout for a long weekend. We are leaving on Friday and returning on Thursday. Here's hoping the weather is better than it was last year, when we got snowed on! The forecast is for much better than that, but the forecast looked okay last year also.
The best part of the campground is that I get to see my grandson! He was born Dec. 29th, and I haven't seen him since January 5th, so I can't wait.
    Have a great day all!

    Good Evening Blues,

Sorry for being MIA. There was no chart this week because I got weigh ins a bit late and I've been pretty busy. I've kept track on my computer though.

Good to have you back Peter. Good luck Debnu.

So I've decided going out dancing for one night and then the next night having ultimate is really painful on one's body. Then to have ultimate again two days later is just a bad idea. Tomorrow I have ultimate again but I'm still loving it.

Hope all is well. Don't forget to send me your weigh ins on Friday/Saturday.

Have a great couple of days.

Welcome back Peter, take care of that wife of yours! ( and yourself too). Don't be too much of a stranger!
I have not been eating as well as I should be lately, I have a new love of chocolate covered almonds, and I need to stop buying jellybeans! If you don't buy it you wont eat it you know.

Debnu- Oh wow, time really flies. I'm so excited for you Debnu, and you will have your baby and enjoy your time this spring and summer. I just love giving birth during the warmer months because you get to go out with your baby more and enjoy the nice weather. Wish you a nice relaxed delivery and a healthy one!

ultimatelover- I'll send in my weigh in today.

Everyone, so glad to see you guys. I have definitely got my mojo back and I'm sorry for letting myself go- but I've learned alot from this. One thing I learned is that when things get tough, not to lose control of EVERYTHING, b/c that's exactly what happend to me. And to stop being an all-or-nothing person- some exercise is better than no exercise.

Anyhow, back on track for me, this morning I did p90x chest and back, and Insanity Cardio abs. I'm doing a hybrid of p90x and insanity.

take care all and bring it!

Mayra, I think the hardest thing is to not be all or nothing. I burn my self out by trying to take on too much all at the same time. I am trying to just take one step at a time and not go as over board.

Thanks for the well wishes. I am hoping for all to be well and am looking forward to exercising again in a few months. I've just started missing it. Probably because the weather is getting so much nicer!

Glad to see some of you return to the blues and the healthy lifestyle. We all take breaks occasionally, the important thing is that we have the ability to get back on the wagon and turn it around!

You probably won't hear from me until about next Thursday. I am leaving today on a spring break trip. Tonight I am stopping to see my Mom in the hospital, and then on to Oklahoma to camp with family until Tuesday. Mom is having surgery on Monday, so plan to stop off on Tuesday to see her and come back home on Wednesday. I hope all of you have a great week! Happy Spring!!

Thanks for the welcome back ladies.
Yes I totally agree.. I was all or nothing as well. After the wedding, I didn't get back in track and it went back to normal. I need to be acountable for what I've done to myself in 10 months, and as in biggest loser, have to understand why I did this. I know some reasons, and will work on it. Why am I blabbling ...

I've gained back 20 lbs in ohhhh 9-10 months. Bad huh.... Oh well. That's life, and I just have to get control and get back at it.
Today was nice out, so I got out for my first walk/jog of the year...
20 lbs heavier, but 1 month no smoking. I honestly realize now which one was holding me back.
I jogged about 75% ............ 7kms in just under 1 hour. and burned 1050 calories.

hehehe, my legs are going to be sore tonight at work and they'll hate me tomorrow.

Peter- glad to see you back. All that matters is that you get back on it, and you know how to do it this time. I gained by more than 20lbs, but I'm going to take this one day at a time and learn from my mistakes. We're here for each other!!!! Let's do this thing!!!!

Just got back from my work gym and did 42 mintues of strength training. I'm in it to win it!

Hi all...Hubby and I are going kayaing this morning and I'm so excited. It will be nice to get back on the water. It is going to be 77 here today. Physical therapy is working somewhat. I had two sessions last week and have 3 next week plus I'm doing the exercises at home 3 times a day. I did the elliptical at the gym last night without any pain. I tried the exercise bike but the pain hits right on the bottom of my bottom lol. Hope you all have a great weekend!
