When your trying to get healthy your health gets in the way??

I just need to vent and maybe whine for a few minutes then I will get back out my BL walking DVD and the SHRED and start the ball rolling once again. I promise.

This past week was a real winner. On Tuesday I started JM shred.... on Tuesday after noon my gut was hurting so bad I actually wen to the ER due to the pain. At the ER the doc told me I "probably" had an intermittent bowel obstruction due to scar adhesions. Gave me some meds to take away the pain and told me to follow up with my PCP. BTW the CT scan didn't show anything related to bowel obstruction... It did show I was full of poop but then again my friends and family would agree with that finding anyway.

On Friday I went for a follow up with my PCP and i won myself a colonoscopy ( yeah something I SO LOOK FORWARD TOO) as well as a ultrasound due to the CT showing a possible cyst on an ovary. Ok these results I can live with... just more waiting for the actual procedures and the results .But that same day I had to pleasure of running into a toothache that has left me a quivering heap of nerves and pain all weekend ( of course no emergency dentists in my area) SO all weekend i have ate Advil on a regular basis ( best for bone pain, unlike Tylenol) nursed my still tender belly and basically feel like death warmed over.

As I stated in the beginning of this thread... I promise to pull back out my DVDs and get back on the band wagon... I just needed to vent some frustration. It seems as if when I actually am making some headway my body wants to rebel on me. Any advice or words of wisdom? Yes I am going to see the dentist as soon as I can tomorrow... even if it means pulling the offending tooth without Novocain that tooth pain will be resolved as soon as I can.

Thanks for listening while I whined.... Time for a shower and then start house cleaning and workouts... along with more advil and bowel meds lol

    It's good to let it all out.

    Now, as frustrating as it can be sometimes life gets in the way of what ever it is we are trying to achieve. The main thing is that you focus on getting well. You can always jump right back on the weight loss train but your health is something that you must value and treasure.

    I hope that you begin to recover soon and as soon as you do I hope to see you here on the boards telling us all about your fantastic success.

    Bless your heart....take care of yourself and don't push working out. Just focus on making good healthy food choices until you get to feeling better.

    Oh you really are in the wars aren't you!!! Don't push your self to hard while your feeling so poorly, don't want to get any more injuries...
