I've been doing this for 3 days now and my calorie intake is still only about 1000 calories a day. My daily fat, sugar is where it should be but my carbs is less than i should have and my protein is usually over. Any suggestions on what to eat to raise my calories?

What about whole grain breads and grains?

Adding in fruit is a great way to gain some healthy carbs (it will up your sugars a little bit, too). As mentioned before, more dense foods like whole grains will help add calories. Also consider a healthy nuts - it will add some fat, but it will be GOOD fat. The other option is to simply increase you portion sizes a bit. If you're only off by 200 calories, you could just add in a lean grilled chicken breast and be almost there.

    Good luck!
