Small steps

This is a small small feat for some but a big milestone for me. I have been doing the 30 Day Shred for 6 days now...I have been noticing a little bit of an improvement in my endurance during that 20 minute workout the past couple of days...arms aren't quite as fatigued, jumping jacks getting a little (A LITTLE) easier. Before I started doing this workout faithfully everyday I got on the treadmill...this was just last week actually...and I decided to try to jog. It's a moderate jog but difficult enough that I have a hard time with it...I made it almost 5 minutes last week before I gave in and pressed that "slow down" button. Before losing some of this weight (13-14 lbs) I never even attempted jogging...I would get winded just going for a brisk walk in the park. Well I decided today to get back on the treadmill and do another jog...I set the timer for 20 mintues only expecting another 5 minutes of actual jogging from myself...I got to 5 and said, "go 5 more" I got to 10...then 20...and honestly I didn't think I'd be able to jog 20 minutes straight this early in to working out on a regular basis! I felt the burn for sure but I kept saying "just a little longer". It makes me feel like I am accomplishing something...for being over 200 lbs and about 60 lbs away from my goal--I feel great! And motivated to push forward.

good for you to keep it up.. it is the little steps, and if you give it what you can, the next day make your goal 5 min more or pushing a bit harder. I would say the same thing to myself, I can do this 5 more min. just believe in yourself!! keep going!!
