Eating the same foods bad??

I'm back again on MFP and ready to lose the weight again. I just recently had twins on January 6th and lost 40 pds since and ready to lose 30-40 more.
I've been eating the same type of foods to include oatmeal, soups, and healthy choice meals. Does anyone know if this will affect losing weight? Meaning that once you get to a certain weight you can plateau? Has anyone experienced this?

Actually according to Dr. Oz eating the same foods will keep you from craving other foods, you will crave the foods you have been eating which is a good thing!0

First off, congrats on the babies!! :flowerforyou:
And secondly, I agree with the first responder. I find that as long as I stick with a routine of a selection of foods, I find myself craving other foods less and less. If I find something that people are raving about here, for example almonds. I'll try to give it a go (ps. almonds are actually delicious! you'd think at 28 I'd know that but aside from Hershey's chocolate almond bars, I'd never tried one!) I haven't found a decrease in weight loss in the past when I stick with this plan.0 -
Thanks mamareese! It does feel like I crave just the foods I've been eating instead of pastas that I would normally crave. It helps to know that Dr. Oz said that also. I haven't tried the almonds thing yet but I'll pick some up here soon to see. Hopefully I can mix it up once in awhile for breakfast instead of just eating oatmeal lol.0

I'm the same way. I eat the mostly the same things constantly. I've just found foods that I love and they keep me full & satisfied. Like the above posters if there is a food that a lot of people are excited about I will try it, but other than that. I'm ok with my menu and my weight loss has been ongoing.0

same here...My diary looks pretty similar from day to day..but i will switch some things up like my flavor of Hummus or yogurt...or a different fruit/vegetable.
I have heard some people say change it up so your body doesn't get used to it..but this is working for me..and you know how the saying goes..."If it ain't broke..don't fix it!"0
