Motivational Weight Loss Poem

I was thinking about myself and what I'm expecting of myself in my weight loss. I wrote a poem about negative outside influences telling me who and what I should look like and be. I came to the realization that I am me, and I am losing weight for me and me alone! Not to look like a particular image. We have to lose weight for the right reasons, IMO, and everyone's reasons are different.

~*>Of Expectations<*~

I want to live. learn. laugh. cry
be exploding stardust on the interior
of a wind shielded from the storming
refuse of science that can't discover
a recovery from the modern
antithesis cocoon of over-stimulation
scorning recycled redundancy enmeshed
in pages of fashion trashed to the wayside.
Or I will unravel into gravel
gravely paving a way of waves
inching tenderly toward I reach
my inner keeper who keeps kneading
away at the molding outer shell of self-
worth and reliance on the exterior
media feeding frenzy of input – kaput!
Shell of a sellout outlaw lawless
in nature and unkind nurturing
wrought extra-defined unrefined girl
of outside inclusion flew in between
dusk and sunrise instantaneous blue flickering
dimmer than an all-night TV
set of expectations faintly glimmer.

Also ~ if you feel like writing your own fun little poem, or even someone else's about weight loss go right ahead! Or an inspirational quote of some kind. Anything to keep up that positive vibe!
