My first week..

I just completed my first week of REAL dieting. This is my first time ever tracking calories, settings goals, and weighing myself in daily and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Is that odd? I lost 5 pounds!!! Im very happy with this especially since I didn't find the change of diet/life style hard at all. Tracking my food and seeing the calories I eat at every meal is fascinating for me. I was under my calorie goal every day but 1 (Saturday) which was because there were a few Corona Lights involved hehe. I set a personal goal to get in some sort of exercise 2 to 3 times a week. One thing I noticed is that I have a hard time not jumping on the scale every morning to see my progress. From what I hear and read you should weigh in once a week, but its hard not too!!! Maybe once the "newness" of my new life style wears off it will be easier. Alright well I'm done rambling. Thanks for reading!!

Congrats on the loss! 5 lbs for you first week is wesome!
I used to be addicted to the scale, sometimes jumping on more than once in a day. This time around I've banned myself from the scale completely. It affects my mood way to much and in the past that has really messed with my head and goals. Hopefullly the losses keep on coming for you!
Keep up the great work!0 -

lol, i dont think the rush of jumping on the scale and seeing the numbers decrease will ever wear off. enjoy the first few weeks, before you know it... you will have to fight for every pound. congrats on your progress, it seems that you are doing very well. and welcome, this site helps a lot. I lost 33 lbs in two months- just by tracking my food and excersize. happy losing. :-}0

Congrats on the weight loss! I understand about the scales, I have learned to keep myself off them and only weigh in once a week, less stress on yourself that way when you are not focusing on the numbers on your scale!0

personally i only weigh once a week, on the same day and at the same time (morning just after I get up and go the restroom). this way I look forward to see what I've accomplished through out the week. You will drive yourself crazy if you weigh everyday. once a week is the best with measurements too.
welcome to the family.0 -
