Food processor recommendations?

Hi everyone! I have decided to invest in a food processor FINALLY so I can make all the delicious recipes I find for soups, spreads, etc. I was wondering which ones people use that they would recommend to me?

The most important things to me would be that it is EASY TO CLEAN, and not too pricey (I don't NEED the fanciest food processor ever, plus I have to pay my taxes this month so I'm on a budget!).

Thanks for your help! -Amy

  • I love Cuisinart brand. My mom got one when she got married in the 70s and it only recently broke. She used it often. I have a small 7-cup Cuisinart food processor that I made all of my son's baby food in. It was around 80-100 bucks at Target. It's not great for large recipes so you'd want something bigger if you were planning to make large servings.
  • I have a Black and Decker one I got a few years back from Wal-Mart. I love love LOVE it!!!
  • My Kitchen Aid is a BEAST! I think she was about $200, but I've seen them a little cheaper these days. My mom has been using the same Kitchen Aid processor for a million years.

I have a cuisenart (sp?) but really want a Kitchen Aid. I don't like having to use one for big stuff and a seperate one for small batches.
