Pulled a muscle

I pulled a muscle a little doing circuit training and instead of taking a day or two off I tried to run through it and made things much worse. For a couple of days I could hardly walk. Now I am starting to get my mobility back but I am still feeling pain when walking. I guess I am wondering the best way to get back to my previous level of activity. On top of this I signed up for a 5k that is in 20 days, do I have any hope of making that race? I was running the distance without issue before the injury.

I'm going to tell you to take some time off! I pulled a muscle in my chest about a week ago, I've still been running, but now the pains worse. I've decided that if I want it to heal right I need to take the whole week off.

Try stretching it out. Definitely take it easy and allow it to heal. Last summer I had a deep muscle cramp in my right quadriceps and the only way I could get rid of it was to sit in a hot tub for a half hour.
