Hey guys,
Just thought I would pass on the coolest bowls for storing berries & such. Rubbermaid makes a line of bowls called Produce Saver. They ROCK! I have kept strawberries in the fridge for a WEEK!! I hate grocery shopping, so I tend to buy too much, and was wasting things, which on a tight budget is not good. I have been so happy with these! I get home & clean everything & put them in the bowls & have them readily available! I'm certain this is one of the secrets to my weight loss! :flowerforyou:

Thanks! My step son is a diabetic, so our fruit intake is high. I try to shop about every 10 days or so. Those bowls would help so much. Most of the time, we have berries and other more perishable fruits right after I shop and then apples etc later.

    Wow these would help!

I also find that using frozen fruit works for me. It may be more expensive per once, but I waste a lot less, and I actually eat it because it is handy and easy, so I figure the cost evens out. Just be sure to get unsweetened.

I searched all over, and the only place I found them was Meijers. They are in the cooking section (not the "throw-away" bowl section! Ziploc / Gladware) They are clear with green lids & they have a tray in the bowl to keep fruits & vegy's out of the water. My Meijers had a 3-bowl set for $10. Then other sizes available singly.
