I have been cutting out processed foods as much as possible for the last 3 weeks and I went to our Chamber Meeting today for lunch and they had store bought lasagne, homemade breads, dessert etc... Within an hour of eating it, I had a major headache. Can I say poison!
Didn't realize how much the preservatives in food had an effect on me. Sorry I ate the good-tasting but bad for me food today. It's not worth my health and the weight I'll probably gain although I didn't over indulge. They did have a good fresh strawberry salad. Going back to "clean eating".

Anyone else have a similar eye opening experience after eating whole foods for awhile?

I haven't noticed that I feel different but the taste is usually pretty bad. It is amazing how salty and sweet industrial foods are- no wonder people who eat it are constantly craving sweets. I find chain restaurants to be barely tolerable for that reason unless I stick to salad. I have also noticed some processed foods leave me with either a chemical aftertaste or a weird mouth-feel, like my mouth has been coated in something. I have been eating clean for years so it is probably just something everyone else is used to.
