Hi all,
I am kind of new here. This is my first post even though I have been using MFP for 4 weeks now and have lost 12 lbs. So far it hasn't been too hard and the weight has been consistently dropping a couple of pounds each week. I still have a long way to go as my goal was to loose 50 lbs. I started at 248 and want to get to 198. I am 51 now and don't think I have been below 200 for about 30 years so that will be a challenge.

Hang in there Jim. You will reach your goal if you keep pressing forward. I am happy for you. I am in the same situation.. trying to reach under 200 lbs.0

good luck Jim - I started out at 230 about 7 mths ago and now at 177 - so yes it can be done-
I have not been under 200 for years - it is hard work but well worth it0
