Multivitamins? Help!

I haven't taken a multivitamin supplement in years and a few people have been telling me that I should be taking something. I've looked around at the pharmacy but really don't know what to go with. I've also looked into Shaklee which I thought was great because they didn't have any of those nasty tar fillers but they're a little on the expensive side for just a vitamin. Just wondering if any one has any recommendations? I would greatly appreciate it! :flowerforyou:

Don't worry, you don't have to be knocked up to take 'natals.
They are gentle on the tummy and have a huge boost of b-vitamins.0 -
if you want a great multi vitamin without the after taste and that does not make you gain weight... I suggest the Its Vital from It Works! it has a mint taste to it and I personally take it. Everything in it is all natural. here is a link if u want to check it out

I take between 10 and 15 vitamins a day...I cannot tell that I am feeling great unless I don't take them and then I realize that they are a huge benefit to my health, well being, and energy.
I completely swear by the Life Extension brand vitamins...You can check it out at www.lef.org..They have health advisors who make a cocktail of vitamins based on your price range and what health issues you are targeting specifically. They are high quality vitamins so yes they are a bit more expensive but take it from someone who never took any before two years ago...It is night and day...0 -

Oh awesome. I'll check into it! I have been taking a green tea supplement to boost my energy since I've been lacking a little of that lately. I've been contemplating taking a calcium supplement or fish oil as I hear fish oil is very beneficial and can help a lot with weight loss.
Thank you everyone for your input! I appreciate all your suggestions!0 -

Oh wow! I myself have a hard time with pills, especially large ones so to take that many per day makes me a little anxious. I don't know how you do it! lol That's awesome that you found something that works well for you though! Thank you for your suggestion!0 -

Beachbody has a total Women's Health Vitamin that I highly recommend. I sold it to one of my friends and she loves it. I personally get my vitamins from Shakeology so I stopped taking multivitamins which is great because I always forget to take pills anyway lol.0

I keep hearing about this Shakeology stuff...I keep meaning to look it up online but I keep forgetting. What's that stuff all about anyway? Is it like a meal replacement or something?0 -

Yes it is a meal replacement, but it is also so much more.0 -
I think before buying something is it VERY important that you consult either your doctor or pharmacist. A multivitamin can look inoffensive, but it can create interaction with medication or health conditions. Otherwise, I usually take during winter Vit C, always Vit D and Iron (I don't get enough, it's from my doctor's recommendation!) and Omega 3,6,9. Depending on your needs and nutrition, you could add Calcium as well. I don't take multi-vitamin all the time, only when I really need it, I go with a superEnergex or that type of dark liquid that you add to your juice in the morning!0
