So I've been pretty good with my calories. Eating as much as the website tells me. I've gone over a few select times, but only by 20 or so. Should I just do a flat out "1300" calories a day, no matter how much I work out? Please give me some advice.

Thanks! :)

I try to stay at what MFP says..which is 1490....even when I exercise....this is simply because, my husband like to go out to eat usually on Sat....this way, if I do go over on Sat, then I know I had banked calories...but I never go crazy with the Sat cals...That's me..hope it helps...I don't think going 20-30 over a day will hurt, as long as you exercise

My advice is to stick with what the website tells you. It has worked for me. I don't think you have to eat all of your workout calories all the time, but it is ok to do that too. You only have 12 pounds to lose, so they may be tough to lose. My thought is if you lose the pounds too fast they will just come back on in the long run. Have fun with it!

There is this big disagreement about "to eat my exercise calories or not to eat my exercise calories". Lots of people, lots of opinions. Do what works for you. I was exercising and not necessarily eating my exercise calories. My weight loss was kind of slow. I had a slight set back and the dr. won't let me exercise. I stick to my calories pretty closely and my weight loss has progressed at a faster rate. I should probably eat my exercise calories then because when I don't my weight loss is slower. Try an experiment. Eat them one week. Don't eat them the next. See what happens. Good luck!

because you are so close to goal, you have to be very consistent for longer to see results. have you read through this thread?
    I think it's really informative!

I think it's useful to think of your body more like a lab and less like a bank account, and just stick with something for a month and see if it works. Daily, or even weekly fat losses can be masked by water weight and other things.
