This is my first time using the website. Nine weeks ago I changed my eating habits and started exercising 5 days a week. So far I have lost 15 lbs. I have been staying under my 1200 calorie goal almost everyday. I have read many messages on here about staying under calories. How many should I be eating? When I complete my food entry it usually tells that I am under my calories for the day and going into starvation mode. However I. Never feel hungry between my meals. Especially with a 22 month old I feel like I eat a lot of snacks between meals.
I hope I can stay committed and meet my goals!

SHOULD NOT BE BELOW 1200 AND PROB SWITCH IT UP EACH DAY BY 200 TO 300 CAL A DAY SO BETWEEN 1200 AND 15000

The number of calories you are told to eat is based on a resting metabolic rate. In otherwords, it's based on the number of calories needed to maintain your weight if you laid in bed all day. If you eat less than that (say 200 or 300 less), it can increase the speed with which you lose weight. You do need to be careful not to let it be to farr below the recommended caloric intake, because your body has need of nutrients and calories for energy and health. Btw, I don't subscribe to the theory that the body goes into "starvation mode". Have you ever seen those contestants on BLC? They're burning sometimes 5000 to 6000 calories a day, and taking in only around 2000 or less. Just sayin'. Good luck on your journey.0

Thank you for your feed back! Im never way under. I usually eat between 1100 and 1200. But burn between 300-600 and that's what makes me under. I weighed in this morning and lost another lb!!0
