I upped my calorie goal a little bit today

I upped my calorie goal a little bit today. I've been having bouts of lightheadedness over the past week or two and I'm thinking I might need to eat a little more. I had my goal set at losing 1.5 lbs/week, so I changed it to 1 lb/week so my calorie goal has changed from 1200 to 1350.
I always eat most/some of my exercise calories, but never all of them because I've wanted to leave some room for error on the HRM's estimated calorie burn. Also, since some days I don't know if I'm going to have time to work out, I don't eat 'em until I earn 'em. That means sometimes when I fit in an unexpected workout later in the evening, I sometimes end up with more extra calories than I can reasonably consume at that hour. I've still been eating a fair amount, usually around 1450 calories on days I exercise, but looking back, I'm rarely netting 1200. And since I've not been feeling quite right, I think I needed to change something. I'll start small and see if it makes any difference in how I'm feeling; if not, I'll reevaluate.
Hopefully this small increase in my "budget" will get me feeling better without slowing things down too much in terms of weight loss. Might not be the best time to do this since I gave up my scale for lent and so I won't see for weeks if my weight loss completely stalls. Really, though, I'm optimistic that these few extra calories won't make much difference, and I'm trying not to rush things anyway.

Good for you to give your scale up for Lent! That takes dedication!!!
Hope this change makes you feel better. If not, hopefully it's an easy fix.
Keep up the good work!0 -
