I challenge everyone to find at least one person in the next month to motivate to become a heathlier person...It might be harder than what it seems. i have a few people in mind.

Hubby---- i'd like to keep him around for the next few 100 years or so...lol:love:
my mom
i think if she tried to eat healthier and exercise she might have more energy
my sister in law---- she is very young and already very overweight. she is so beautiful inside and out just needs to be healthier

So wish me luck on my 3 goals.....

Who do you want to motivate and why?

I don't mean to be a witch or anything, but people only motivate themselves. The best way you can motivate someone else is to do it yourself, for yourself, and not be a nag or a show off. People will notice what you are doing and basic human behavior takes over. If every time you sit down to eat with, husband, mom, etc. you eat well, people will change their habits over time by your unmentioned influence.

Nothing makes a smoker want to smoke more than someone telling them to quit. Just how life works.

But by all means, ask them if they would like to go for a walk!

that is exactly what i am talking about. I dont want to sit there and be like look i am doing it why can't you., that is not how i am. For example i have been asking my sister in law to go for walks with me just to spend time with me and to get out of the house since she is out of school and doesn't have much going on.. Just small things like that . i would never brag in someone face or try to make them feel bad. i love the people in my life and sometimes people just need that push to say i k now you can do it because i love you .

on a second note i don't agree 100% on we only motivate ourselves. There are alot of people in my life and on MFP thst motivate me and make me want to get up and go exercise and become a healthier person. Isn't that one of the reasons you joined MfP for the support and motivation along with alot of great other features that MFP gives us.

But thats fine not a good challenge just thought it would be nice. Have a nice day and good luck with your goals and your journy
