I've heard the same.
Not trying to be funny, but you could drink 2 or 3 glasses of prune juice and clean out pretty good. Just sayin! lol That's what I do if I'm feeling funky.
Just make sure you can take the next day off of work. You might not be able to leave the house!0 -
I'm so regular that if I did that I'd probably turn inside out!
I've heard it's a good way to get rid of any build up in your intestines but I wouldn't suggest it unless you have time to stay home for a couple days, near your bathroom! :laugh:0 -
I am starting mine tomorrow. I am usinig an indian fruit combo called triphala. After much research and talking with many health food nutrtionist i discovered triphala. It is suppose to be very good. I'll let you know how it goes.0

your body is equipped to do this all naturally. whether you give it good foods and not fill it up with junk so it can filter efficiently is entirely on you.
i would never consider such a silly alternative.0 -
Not trying to tell TMI...but my doc told me the colon and the va-jay-jay are self-cleaning organs! :blushing: I have had to have a colonoscopy before and I saw the pics they took in there....it was nice and clean....no "15 pounds of years of build up". :noway: Sorry! A cleanse can strip your colon of vital bacteria. Getting rid of these bacteria can lead to things such as C-Difficil. My grandpa died of it in December after a bout with diarrhea. Google "clostridium difficil"....it is life threatening. I would just stick to going the good old fashioned way. Eat a lot of fiber and get plenty of exercise. I know there are people who are going to object and who swear by cleanses, but I have heard they can really harm you if done improperly (not reintroducing the "good" bacteria). I just wouldn't do them. Not after seeing what happened to my grandpa.0

Thanks for the info, and I am sorry to hear about your grandpa.0
