I came here for support, a friend of mine refered me to this website saying I would have all the support I ever needed. I've been doing this faithfully for 2 weeks now...and it seems the more I bust my but, and work out the fatter I get...I have gained 3 lbs in 2 weeks. I understand that I won't see instant results, but I hear and read all the success stories from everyone, and I just keep wondering if I will EVER have one of my own. I have tried any diet plan you can think of...but I always get discouraged when I never see any results. I got so discouraged today I ate a candy bar...I haven't had a candy bar in months...I'm so ashamed. But I can't think of any real reason to continue killing myself for nothing. Please does anyone else have this problem? I work out really good on the weekends, I have time then...but I work 12 hours a day, and have 2 kids to care for when I get home...I don't have much time to get in a really "kick your butt" work out during the week. I need advise. I can't be the only mother with a demanding job and no time to work out.

please please please do not get discouraged!!! you may have been eating too many/too few calories for your body and it may just be adjusting. i have heard many ppl say they actually gain a few pounds before they start losing on this site. your body will not work against you forever i promise!0

Well, we need some more information really before we can offer some advice--
--how many calories a day are you eating?---what is your daily caloric deficit?
are you eating your exercise calories?0 -
I don't have two kids or anything, but I'm pretty sure most people here have no time to spare. You have to make your health a #1 priority--MAKE the time for yourself. If that means getting up an extra 30 minutes earlier (ugh, I know!) to take a walk down the block, you have to do it! You might miss the sleep for the first few days, but after that, you'll find you have even more energy than if you had slept in! Don't worry about kicking butt--just get that butt moving!
Think 30 minutes is too much all in one go? Do 10 or 15 minutes 2 or 3 times a day. Take the stairs at work. Do squats on your lunch break. Do anything to get your body going! Exercise is so, so, so key--I wasn't able to lose more than 5 pounds until I started working out. And before I joined a gym, I walked in place in my living room!
One more thing--forget about the candy bar. It's one day out of thousands in your life. Don't let two minutes of one day of your entire life equal your self-worth. Chocolate tastes great, and every once in a while, it's ok to have it.
Most importantly, don't give up! You can do this!0 -
I have two little ones and two businesses from home. I'm definitely a busy woman (although setting my own schedule DOES make a difference) but something I did when I began here almost a month ago was release some of my non-essential commitments to free up some time. I had been doing some child care and I realized that if I run myself ragged and leave no time for something as ESSENTIAL as health and fitness, what am I working so hard for in the first place?! I wasn't being a good role model to my children, I wasn't on a path that would allow my body to LIVE well, and I was exhausted all the time. Now I place as much importance on getting my exercise in as I do on brushing my teeth, eating and sleeping!
As far as the weight gain, TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR. I had an undiagnosed thyroid condition for years and would work my butt off and still gain.
Good luck!!!0 -
I feel the same way. I am a mom of four. Work Full Time plus. I finally decided that I had to make time for me. SO I go to the Gym every morning at 5:30am. That is the only way that I can get it in. You might try that.0
