I am gluten intolerant and that puts some restrictions on my diet. I would love to connect with others who also live a gluten free lifestyle to swap recipes or just help eachother along the way! If anyone has any suggestions on diet when losing weight I'd love to hear them :)

    There is a gluten free group. I remember coming across it. There are a lot of people on here with gluten intolerance. (I'm not but my little sister is)

    Here's one of my favorites (it's also vegan):

    Armenian Lentil Soup

    Boil 6 cups water
    Add 1 finely chopped onion, 1 1/2 cups red lentils, and 1/2 cup short grain rice
    Stir occasionally and add water if needed. It should have the consistency of porridge.
    Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of ceyenne.
    You can eat it hot or cold.

    I have Celiac and have been eating GF since 11/2010 however I have been cooking GF for 2+ years for my now 8 year old Daughter. I started GF on the same day I started counting calories because I did not want to gain MORE weight, I find that the 2 work well in my weight loss as all the food I would cheat with has gluten! I am here if you need help getting started.

    I'm not gluten intolerant (that I know of), but one of my really good friends is. I don't have any recipes, but have you tried quinoa? It is pretty delicious (in my opinion) and gluten free. It has a lot of protein and I usually pair it up with some romaine lettuce, possibly some turkey meat and mozzerella cheese. Easy and good. Sorry if its not what you were looking for, but I can't stop talking about it.

    Hi! I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance last May. As soon as I gave up gluten I lost almost 25 lbs without changing anything else about my diet. I just joined this site about a week ago, because I want to lose another 40 lbs, and need some extra monitoring and help. Please add me as a friend!
