I've hit a wall and don't know what to do. I moved home in hopes of saving some $. While I haven't quite started that, I have been trying to cook healthier meals. Well no one seems to like them or eat them enough. Or I run out of ideas, or am just unmotivated to cook. With that and the fact that no one wants to eat on the weekends, unless it is take out. Before I moved home I cooked on the weekends, my days off and then ate left overs; it worked out perfect.

Since I've moved home sleep has gone down hill. It's always one thing or another waking me up. This has been the wall I hit, because I am so tired, my great workout schedule has gone kaput....I am too tired to work out, honestly, too tired. Too tired to care about what I cook. My family is trying to be considerate, but it's still not working.

I just don't know what to do, how to get more sleep. It's only another 3.5 weeks and I am off of this night work schedule. but its getting frusterating and I don't know how to get through it, and get back into working out and planning meals.

while the exercise is great, with all the things going on, you should try and focus on one thing, and it sounds like it should be the food. don't worry about what others will or won't eat, all that should matter is yourself. so be selfish and cook only for yourself. i know it doesn't help in the saving money department if you have to buy your own food, but sometimes you need to spend that little bit more if you can.

just don't let it all get to you, if you focus on one thing, such as your food, you may find it a whole lot easier. MFP is set up so if you can't or don't want to exercise, you can still do this with food alone. so a little while of no exercise won't hurt, specially as from the sounds of it, the second your sleep is normal, you will get back at it.

sounds like to me you may be suffering from depression. depression acts like being physically tired. you just dont feel like doing anything. and yes depression can even cause sleep loss. maybe seek some help?

i also work third shift (4 yrs). its tough to get used to. but looks like you will be off soon. I usually do my workouts right after work at around 8am. i dont cook either often. I am a vegetarian and my wife is a meat eater. but i still eat healthy.

just remember how you did it before and do it. its all about getting started again. its hard to get motivated, but with will power you can do it. and once you start it only gets easier. good luck
