So here goes everything. :embarassed: I have not logged my weight since Memorial day.:ohwell: I was down 42 pounds and was very proud of myself. Now truth be told. I have gained 4 pounds back. I know its not a lot or the end of the world but if I dont do something now I will gain it all back.:explode: School let out for summer and my lifestyle was let out as well. I have done well eating throughout the week and then the weekend comes and we have so much going on i end up messing up for the whole week. I cant seem to get a routine that works for me this summer. My school routine was the same every day. Monday, wed, fri I took the kids to school and went to work 12 hour days so really no time for exercise. Tue and thur I took the kids to school and went to the gym lifted weights, walked, swim, bike. Then i went home did my house work made supper for the family. Sat we did something outside and sun i went to the gym.:smile: Now that summer is here I cant seem to get a routine that works. My kids are 16 and 13 and never seem to be home any more. :grumble: I dont really enjoy cooking when nobody will be home to eat. :grumble: So here i am today confessing so that i will be accountable for my actions. I have to stop making excuses and get back on track:smile: Thank you all for listening. Today is a new day I will make the most of it.

I know how it feels to have -too- much free time with school being out and routines upset.

If I could offer a suggestion, why dont' you try getting back to the gym Tues & Thurs. You need to do something for yourself too. And it sounds like the kids are pretty busy with their own summer plans.

Maybe sustaining a little of the routine will alleviate some of the anxiety and you will find other activities as well.

Summer is hard, isn't it? I've had to change my routine since I'm not taking my daughter to school every day. I now get up before everyone, and I go to exercise while everyone is still asleep. This frees me up for the rest of the day! And since nobody is around to eat meals, I make some dishes ahead of time that are healthy and keep them in the fridge for meals. Fruit salads, veggie salads, pre-cooked lean meats...I've found that having them available when I need to eat helps me to eat healthy meals instead of snacking on junk. And I am drawn to the junk!!! I sympathize with your frustration! Good luck!
