Well, on Tuesday I snapped! :explode: I have been trying to lose weight for months now, albeit halfheartedly and I was getting nowhere fast. My mum lost 4 stone with Slimming World and, though it worked for me for a while a few years ago, I just couldn't settle back into it this time around. I've been steadily gaining weight over the last 6-12 months and I just haven't had the inclination (or the will-power) to do anything about it. Tuesday was my crunch day. I wore my 'I'm a fatty and this is all I can wear' trousers to work, and they were tight :noway:
Sorry, let me introduce myself properly! I'm Rosy - not my real name, naturally, just a nickname for my nickname if you will - and I, for my sins, am an English teacher at a high school in the UK. I'm 25 and out-and-proud! I live with my girlfriend in a pretty little flat by the sea with our nutty cat and manic hamster
Right, back on track! So, on Tuesday I decided I couldn't faff about with Slimming World anymore, so I have reverted back to good ole calorie counting!! I'm on day 4 now and have no idea how much weight I've lost - am too damn proud to get on the scales - but I already feel tonnes better in myself and in my clothes. It could be psychological, but I genuinely feel like I've lost weight. Give me a few more weeks and I may well get on those scales, just to see!
Internet access is sporadic so will post when I can
Take care and happy counting to you all :flowerforyou:

Hi Rosey.
I am sure that you have lost weight if you are feeling better in your clothes.
OR you have lost inches. Which ever way it is, CONGRATS.
Oh and WELCOME ABOARD! :flowerforyou:
I had a cat hampster combo once. The cat Looooved to bat at the hampster when he was in his excersize ball. MUCH to the dismay of the hampster. I am sure that the cat was a rugby player in a former life.
