So this is an attemp to reach out and find some help.

I have got to the point where I need to do something about my weight and my health.
Of course I have tried several things; i.e. Weight Watchers, getting a gym membership, trying to eat healthy, buying workout equipment etc.
Obviously I have failed miserably and because of it, I keep adding on the pounds.

I am looking for some advise on what I should do.
I know, I know.........work out and eat right. But obviously I need to do something a little different as well.

I have not weighed myself yet but I did take my measurements. i am going to be daring and I am going to share them here.

calves- 15 inches
thighs- 24 inches
hips- 45 inches
lower stomach- 36 inches
upper stomach- 34 inches
bust- 42 1/2 inches
neck- 14 1/2 inches
upper arm- 13 inches
butt- 46 inches

I have pictures but there is no way in hell I am going to post them.
ha ha ha

I am going to take people’s advise and start sticking to it.

It is now mid summer and there is no way I am going to get into a swimsuit.

I was just wondering if some of you have gone through this as well and the results.
If you could share any information that has helped you, that would be much appreciated.

I will keep track of everything on here and show my progress.

    Hi Amanda,
    I'm so glad you found us. We have all gone through similar feelings and fears, that's why we are here. Don't worry, none of us will judge you, all we do here is support in the most positive way. I use to be a size 18, and I'm only 5'2", so we understand. We have people here that are self concious for various reasons, some too big, some too small, some just want to get healthy. You will find the best people here, just make sure that you eat all your calories and get a little activities in every day and you will be amazed at the results.

    Feel free to ask questions and ask for support. We're all here for each other and wish nothing but the best for each other.

    Hi Amanda... you've found the right place to be!

    I joined MFP about three weeks ago. I have never been this motivated before. Read posts... that is the main thing that has kept me motivated. I realized that I am not the only one who struggles. I read what others are doing and I think... I can do this too! The food diary makes it so easy to make wiser choices in food. I log my food before I eat it so that I know exactly what I am putting into my mouth. People here are generous with their support.

    I have been using this site for about a week now and am starting to see results for the first time ever! I want to encourage you to stick with it. Everyone on here is awesome, and when you go through the message board, you'll see the successful results of so many ppl, that it truly is motivating. Good luck, and maybe you can reward yourself next summer by getting your trimmer, slimmer you into a bathing suit you adore!
