I want to lose 23lbs more, but it's taken me 10 months to lose 67lbs.0

it all depends on how much you have to lose. I wanted to lose 146 pounds as my first goal, I am at 78 now and it's been 14 months.0

It took me about a year. But that is with on and off again exercise and not being totally committed. Also, I had personal family problems that really made it hard for a few months. But overall, I lost about 18 pounds in a year. I'm at my current goal weight and hope to shed a few more before summer.
I think the most important thing for me was... no matter how hard life got or how hard I tried or even messed up... I was constantly improving on some level. I was either learning more, making better choices, doing new classes at the gym. Something was always making it exciting, even if I didn't lose everything right away.
MPF really made all the difference in the world!
Good Luck on your journey! :bigsmile:0 -
10 months to lose 48 lbs. Have 5 left to go, but may add another 10 to that.0

Seven months to lose 35 lbs. But I also took a break from October to end of December. Still have quite a ways to go.0

It has taken me a year to lose 65 lbs. I'm giving myself another year to finish it off. that will be 140 lbs in 2 years. Nice and slow and safe!0

My second time on MFP (this is my third, due to my fear of commitment) it took me 14 weeks to lose 19 pounds. I didn't follow my exercise goals to the T, but ALWAYS counted calories - whether I went over or not.0

I just hit my first big goal of 155 (18lbs down). It took about 6 months (2 of which I plateau'd on). I still have about 10 lbs to go. My advice- slow and steady wins the race. It takes awhile. Best thing you can do is to not obsess about the scale, go buy a measuring tape and write down your numbers and then check again each month. These numbers are what really count!0

It took me 9 months to lose 17 pounds (1 pound away from my goal weight). I guess I'm the slow one of the group!0
-
I'll let you know when I get there! It took me ~2 months to lose the last 15 pounds, 1 lb away from my current goal, but I had put some weight back on before that. I think I am going to aim to lose another 10 pounds of fat, but am currently working on building muscle, so I don't know where that will put me weight wise.0

It took me nearly nine months to lose my desired 80 lbs. I had a couple of weeks where I was on vacation that added 5 lbs each time (had to re-lose it). Also, I was very serious and diligent about diet, exercise, and sleep. I did/do have some advantages in that I don't have a spouse or kids around. That makes me totally accountable to me and only me.
I've been in "maintenance mode" since December. However, this is proving a little more problematic than I thought it would be. I've lost an additional 11 lbs since then. That includes eating pretty much what I wanted over Christmas and two weeks visting a daughter in Okinawa.0 -
I'm no where near my goal, so maybe I shouldn't be answering, but it's taken me 2 months to lose 24lbs.0

My initial goal was to be in a range between 135 and 145 (my weight can vary almost 10 lbs per month due to my cycle)- this would be 10-20 lbs lighter than my high school weight. I started at 174. It took me about 7 months to hit 140.
Now I'm shooting for a range between 125 and 135- I kinda spent the last 6 months around 142-145.... I would hit 139 on occasion, but never lower than 139. But from what I can tell it looks like the closer you are to your goal, the longer and harder it is to get there.
I wish us both luck!0 -
My original goal was to lose 35 lbs in 7 months (which was my B-day of April 15).... well, I reached that goal in 2 months. I then had to re-adjust my goals, so I still have another 10 lbs to lose, with about a month to go (new target was 75lbs lost by my b-day). I don't think I'll make it, because I had a very long break in between.... but it shouldn't be that far off with a little work!0

Well, I havent met my goal yet, but a huge goal for me was 50 in one year. Which I am proud to say I met at the 1st of March! Now only 20 more to go!0

Took me around 65 days to lose 26 lbs... But I still have 24 lbs to go.
Technically it probably took a little less than that because It took me a week or two to really get into things. Like to start eating well and exercise. But I've been on MFP for a total of 68 days now.0 -

It's taken me about 10 months to lose my weight. Slow and steady does wins and adjusting eating habits as well. Along with more exercising and lifting weights.0
