new balance komen HRM

does anyone have the new balance komen HRM? i bought one a few days ago and used it today while working out on the elliptical. the machine said i burned 290 calories with age and weight in. and my HRM said i burned 580. quite a difference and this website said 309 so i used that calculation. however...wondering if anyone who has this particular one has any idea.
