what to order at Rib Crib

I'm going to Rib Crib with my parents tonight - we're doing some fun things that they like to do, and they chose the restaurant. I want to eat healthy without looking like I hated the choice of Rib Crib or making a special point that I am cutting back. Their website does not post nutrition info, so I'm using generalized counts, and I can see the menu online. I would like to only use 400 - 550 or so calories. Which is healthier, chopped beef or smoked chicken, generally speaking? I'm guessing chicken. Then I will get brocolli and a salad with dressing on the side. Any other suggestions or better choices? The Texas Toast is awesome there, but prob has 150 calories, so I hope to stand strong and avoid that.

Ordering a meal at Rib Crib may require several considerations. Some of the smoked meats can accommodate low-carb diets. For example, the chopped brisket contains 215 calories per serving with 24 g of protein and only 5.5 g of carbohydrates. Rib Crib also provides an allergen chart for people with food allergies. The chart breaks down each menu option and potential allergens.0 -
smoked chicken, its delicious (I'm generally not a smoked meat fan) and you can order it without sauce (or leave it as is and pull the skin off, thus taking off most of the sauce without making it sound like you're ordering anything special) The thing about RC is they usually go heavy on sauces unless you order one of their low carb meals. You can also call RC ahead of time and ask them if certain dishes are served wet or dry if you're unsure.0

My local Rib Crib has smoked turkey breast that is very good and low in fat & calories.0

I usually order the smoked chicken salad w/o cheese or tortilla strips... Then I use light french dressing on it!0
