So...I fell off the wagon! BIG TIME! I've gained back about 10 pounds. How did I let this happen? I did...I got lazy. I got frustrated! I gave up! And what have I learned...giving up does NOTHING! So...I'm starting over after about 4 months. And I have a goal. Here it is:
I want to lose about 34 pounds (and weigh in at 140 pounds) before I go to Canada next year July (2009) for my cousin's wedding. I want to do at least 1 hour of cardio 3 times a week and at least 1 hour of weight training 2 times a week. I want to make more healthy food choices without completely restricting myself. And I want to do this all slowly, but consistently. And I want to make it forever...not just for the wedding, but for a lifetime. My sister and I have also decided that we would like to run a marathon next year. We just found out that she will now be going away to college 8 hours from our hometown, so not sure how this will pan out. But we will try and continue to motivate each other and hopefully can still run one next year. So...tack that onto my goals.
This is going to be hard, especially since my husband feels there is no need to be concerned about losing weight and becoming healthier. But he will eat the healthy meals that I prepare and he doesn't try and stray my decisions to poor ones. But I AM doing this on my own, so may ask for some support every once and a while.
I also want to apologize to all those who I have let down as I strayed away from MFP for the past 4 months. I am SO sorry. I did not mean to abandon you. And I am back and will be as supportive as ever...I promise. I am going to start to weigh in every week and post my progress, and anyone who would also like to share, please feel free. We are NOT alone....we can support one another!
WE CAN DO THIS!!!!! I'm SO glad to be back!!!!!

Hey girl!
We've missed you!
I can totally relate to what happened to you. I went through a hard time in March and I started eating and couldn't stop. I am still struggling everyday since I got back into an old habit. I managed to lose 4 of the 8 pounds I gained back, but my motivation and drive is completely gone. Since you have come back with motivation it inspires me to give it another shot! We're glad you are back!

And I must say that it is comforting to hear that someone else has gone through a similar struggle! So, thanks SO much! I am SO ready to get back on track!!!!
