As requested...
I am from a small town in the West. I have struggled with my weight off and on for years, but especially since having my four beautiful children. I just had my last one in Novemeber and find it alot easier to get the weight off while I am still nursing...there's something about that extra 900+ calories a day that get used without me having to do anything but feed my child that entices me.
I am 36 yrs old, married to a techer, and am a full-time student scheduled to graduate with my BS in Adult Education in June. It has taken four long years for me to get the degree done this time around, and now I am sprinting to the end. Thi is the first time I have not worked a full or part-time job either, which is strange for me. I do open my business in the summers for our tourists (scrapbooking store), but that is more for me than anyone else.
WIth the birth of my last child, my 20th reunion around the corner and my graduation day staring me in the face...I decided that I want to look on the outside the way I feel on the inside.
I am not promoting anything (so I hope I am not breaking any rules), but just telling you what is working for this very BUSY mom of 4 this time around. My pre-pregnancy weight was 231. I lost most of it within the first two months but jumped up about 4 lbs at Christmas. I am currently at about 226. I am doing a Slim Fast Shake twice a day, lots of water and focusing on protein intake. This seems to be working. I have sporadically done P90X which I love, but have not been able to stay consistent with the new baby and an incredible case of sleep depreivation. My hope is to get him out of this colic phase and back on some type of schedule that will allow me he energy I need to excercise regularly. I think that these plans combined are going to bring me the greatest success. My sisters and I are going to the New Kids on the Block concert in Phoenix,AZ on June 30th. I would like to be in my 190's by then. I know with some hard work I can do it as we have backstage passes and since I can't be single again...I want to at least look hot when I get to meet them! LOL Excited to have found this place.

Oh, and I was just diagnosed for carpal tunnel in both hands and wrists...so my typing leaves a little something to be desired. lol0

My doctor recommended a complex vitamin B to help aleviate the symptoms of carpel tunnel (which I have), and tennis elbow (which my husband has) and it actualy does work well for both of us.
We can both tell if we have forgotten our vitamins for a few days as the symptoms come back worse.
If a stubborn gal like me can find sucess here I just bet you can as well! Welcome to MFP!0 -
Thanks so much! That is something to keep in mind and I will look for that B the next time I head to the store!
I am willing to try almost anything at this point!
