Everyday without fail I get a stabbing pain that comes and goes for about an hour right in my chest area. Does anyone think that this has something to do with my diet?

Are you wearing tighter/constricting bras lately? I had intense chest pains when I was wearing bras that were too tight. It took about a week of wearing them for the pain to start and it took me a while to figure out the cause.0

actually my bras are all too small because I've pretty much lost my boobs from the weight loss lol0

Are they chest pains or heartburn pains? You should check with your doctor, Sweetie.0

Where exactly in your chest is it? It could be related to your diet (GERD, simple heart burn, etc) or something else that you're just now noticing. You said it happens for about an hour; is it directly following eating or after exercise or does it have some other trigger? When I had my gall bladder out I had pain in my chest and back during an attack.
Because it could be so many different things and it's obviously causing you distress you should probably just go to the doctor and see if they can help you figure it out. The questions I asked above are some you might want to have answers to when you go because it'll make it easier for the doctor to pinpoint your causes.
Chest pain isn't a byproduct of weight loss and is not a "normal" thing which means you should get checked out.0 -
if you are taking in too little calories and working out too much it could have something to do with it. as well, there are about a billion nutrients our bodies need and if you are lacking in even one of them too greatly it could be causing the chest pains. this stuff happened to me a while ago. just try changing what you eat to see if it is merely heartburn and if it doesnt work call a health link number and they will have way more to tell you what to do. never ignore pains in your chest though. no matter what their origin, they are usually important to catch early on.0

Chest pains, not nearly as bad as heart burn pains (I have acid reflux so I get those too)
I can't go to the doctor, my mom thinks I'm a hypochodriac. I like to make absolutely sure it's nothing I can help before I go to a professional.0 -

What? seriously? I think I would take my daughter in for chest pain esp if I know she all ready had a problem with heart burn and this was different. There was just a high school boy who died of sudden cardiac arrest at the end of a basketball game last week. It has even made national news - just go google Fennville Michigan basketball. Even young people can have heart problems.
But some here are some other things to consider: Last year my 19 yo daughter in addition to her heartburn did have some other chest pain and we went to her doctor who basically gave her a psychiatric session for an hour LOL! He said it was anxiety It was right after she graduated and we were planning to go to Italy and I think all the changes were a bit overwhelming. He did of course listen to her heart but he really thoroughly listened to HER! So maybe do a self assesment about your anxiety and if you are anxious about anything - even if it is ai good thing like getting skinny and looking hot, try to do some relaxation exercises. If you have access to Yoga classes they are really good for body awareness and breathing. You can download relaxing songs and lay down in a quiet peaceful place and practice deep breathing and tensing/relaxing every part of your body. Also Lavendar is relaxing so get a lavendar eye mask or a lavendar soy candle and breath in the scent.
Do you use a heart rate monitor when you work out or put your hands on the sensors on the machines? You should probably make sure you are never above 80% of the maximum.
Good luck to you!0 -
Very nice reply Amy! Yes, you really should go to the doc if this is more than just an isolated event. Or at least call their office or a nurse help line (if you have one available)0

If it happens after you exercise it could also be your lungs i get it sometimes but I smoke so i have lots of breathing issues.
I would go to a dr just to be safe even if you come off like a hypochodriac its better to know knothings wrong than have something be wrong and not catch it time0
