    Guilty as charged in my old life! I think one of the benefits of this site is the mindfulness component! I am so much more aware of what and how much I am eating.

    Good article, but I don't like how they put carbs as bad. People already have such a fear of them, and they are vital to being alive and having any kind of energy.

    I agree with you, they are just going to make people fear the goods carbs too.

    I used to LOVE pizza. It is the one thing that I will not eat anymore after seeing the pizza I like was 400 calories a slice. :noway:

    I kind of agree with Jennw10. To just say carbs are bad is incorrect...IMO. We need carbs for energy. They article should have been much more specific in saying that right portion sizes of complex carbs is not bad. Obviously, the processed stuff should be avoided, and will contribute to weight gain.

    True that we need carbs, BUT we don't need to eat as many servings of them in the form of breads and pasta, which provide loads of calories, sugars and sodium, as we do. There are so many other forms of carbs that are healthier.
