Giving a shout out!!!

I want to give a shout out to ya'll who have suggested jump roping. My son loves to do this all the time so we picked up a rope the other day for me. AND MAN!!!

In ten minutes with my heart rate monitor on, I burned 100 calories. I think it was 113, but 100 calories in 10 minutes? OH YA BABY!

I need a way to BURN more calories since some nights we ride less than I want with the kiddos. Thanks for the suggestion. My husband told me I was going to hurt tomorrow...Oh no! LOL Then we did over 75 minutes on the bikes with the kids hitting the dirt roads. YEY!!!

    Great Job!!!!!!! :drinker:

My daughter and I jump rope. She's still learning but she counts how many I can do in a row.

Great idea...I should work on this with my 5 year old and keep her counting with me! I was THRILLED to see I could workout for 1 1/2 hours biking with the family and do a quick 10 minute jump for 100 calories!!! LOVED that!

Thanks for mentioning this. I think I will give it a try. Used do it for football and was actually good at it.
I surprised at the amount of calories burned, sweet.

Yes, for 18 minutes of jumping, I can have a smore almost guilt free!

    1/4 piece of Hershey's chocolate
    1 large marshmallow
    1 whole gram cracker

YUM! Errrr...I hope this one indulgence isn't what is keeping me tubby. Oh CRUD!!! It isn't right?

PL, I have a crazy workout you can do. But I warn you, it's absolutely brutal, not for those that aren't already in (at least) half way decent shape, and will leave you dizzy and broken for a day or two after. But do it 3 times a week for 1 month and you will be in FANTASTIC shape. course if you do it on a hot day, you could get heat exhaustion. That's my formal warning, with that said, here is the link.

It's how I got ready for my first 5K I did it for 3 weeks in the spring. I wouldn't even attempt it now unless the weather was going to be cool for a week or so.
