Hello All - Laura here. I am looking to lose about 15 lbs. Just last year I ran the Rock & Roll Half Marathon here in San Antonio- one of my biggest accomplishments, but somehow I managed to gain weight & weigh more than I ever have. I am not sure if it was lack of excercise or age. I just recently turned 40. Right now I am training for the half R&R in Seattle (June 25) - woohoo!! My goal is to beat my time last year and get myself prepared to run the full marathon here in November. This time my training will include weight lifting, as I have found the running doesn't help keep other parts of body toned. I also need to quit smoking - ugh. I smoke only when I drink but I drink usually Friday & Saturdays. I thought about giving up beer, but that's just too much for me right now - I don't want to push myself to the point that I am pissed off all the time & then give up. I am hoping that tracking my progress will help me reach my goals!
